The breakfast selection was quite satisfactory, featuring a nice array of
options that catered to different tastes. I especially enjoyed the homemade bread. However, the noise from the nearby tram line was a little disruptive, especially late at night through the open windows.

Positive, The location was perfect, just a short walk to the Christmas markets and the old town. The staff was super helpful, giving us Basel Cards for transportation. Plus, I had an awesome experience during breakfast when the service staff went out of their way to help me after hours. 😊

The charming hotel has an excellent location, providing a stunning view of the Christmas markets. A standout was the delicious homemade bread at breakfast, which was quite satisfactory with the offering of cooked egg dishes. However, the lack of a safe in the room was inconvenient. Additionally, although the room was accommodating, some might find the stairs to the reception a bit challenging, despite the lift's convenience. Lastly, while there was a fan provided, the absence of air conditioning could be a concern during warmer months.

Staying here with my three small kids was a treat. The hotel is charming, and the courtyard view was perfect for our family, providing a cozy place to unwind after exploring Basel. The nearby tram made getting around the city super easy!
My wife says that the food options were a bit limited for kids.

Had a fantastic time with my friends here! We checked out the art museum and enjoyed wandering around the old town. The place is super cozy with a great courtyard vibe. Staff were welcoming and the meals we had were delicious, especially dinner outside. Just a heads up, there's no AC but they provide fans, which worked for us since we kept the windows open.
One downside was the lack of a safe to store our valuables in the room, which made it a bit inconvenient.

The room was spacious and super comfy. The shower had amazing water pressure that felt like a spa! We loved relaxing in the lovely garden area and enjoyed a peaceful breakfast outside under the trees. Just a heads up, there was no minibar in the room, but it didn't take away from the overall experience. 😊

The economy twin room was cozy, clean, and had a unique historical charm. I loved the quirky low doorways and the character they added! Since it's in an old building, I expected some utility issues, but everything worked perfectly. The lack of air conditioning was noticeable since it could get warm, but they did provide a fan. It was a great value for the price, and the atmosphere really made it feel special.
